The website images, taken for Bena Clothing’s new look book, have been shoot by Luke Kirwin and beautifully styled by Lyndsay Milne to emulate the stunning paintings of the Dutch artist Johannes Vemeer. Bena regularly visits the nooks and crannies of this wonderful country, indeed of any country we visit. We go to workshops, charity shops, junk shops and would-be antique stores looking for the weird and wonderful. We keep some items for reference, the rest we share with you at Benas Cupboard. Inspired by the environment at the doorstep of their studio in Hackney Bena creates whimsical accessories that bring the city’s flora and fauna to life. Mischievous foxes, evil squirrels, pigeons, the Queen of England and even the occasional road kill, make the subject matter of the Collectomania collection.
